Album Cover
This is my album cover for "Amy's" debut album "Rumour Has It".
The photos were all taken on the same standard camera and then edited in Adobe Photoshop with effects such as gradient overlays, inner and outer glows on the texts and standard tools were used such as brushes, blurs and auto-corrects.
Here is each of the components from each page (front cover, back cover, inside cover, cd section and spine) in seperate images and some screen shots of the Photoshop process.
This is my back cover as you can see from the top picture. I put the names of other tracks on the back cover also to make it seem more realistic as an EP or single CD.
Also it concludes the phrase that runs through the whole song..
"Rumour has it he's the one i'm leaving you for"
This is the spine of the album cover which i chose to be simple with just the letter A because there is so much going on, on the other 4 parts of the case.
Like the example on the left of the inside cover.
A very simple photoshop tool that I used to make this image more outstanding was the paintbrush. With a dark brown I painted over Amy's eyelashes and lips to make them stand out.
Magazine Advertisement
Here are some of my designs for my magazine advertisement. I wanted to keep it simple hence the black background and I believed the inside cover shot was a really good photo of Amy and really highlights and accentuates her style. So I used it as the main photo of the ad as I think its very eye catching and attractive.
Here are some different design ideas and my final choice is the last one.
